ABOUT US
We are a group of students from Hwa Chong Institution (College Section) embarking on a non-profit project and outreach initiative to encourage the public to clear their trays, and keep their surroundings clean.Our project, entitled "Keep This Clean!", is aimed at raising awareness of the importance of upholding Singapore's 'Clean and Green' image by spreading this message to the public. We will be targeting primary schools, whereby we will be instilling a sense of responsibility in the students through engaging activities. This will allow them to have a clear understanding of the routine that the cleanershave to go through everyday just to support a living, while students are ignorant and oblivious to the efforts that have been put in to ensuring that the compound is clean while they are in the comforts of their classrooms. #5 Recent newspaper articles on Singapore's Cleanliness levels
 This article shows how even tourists realise the declining standards of cleanliness in Singapore. He talks about how Singaporeans are very concerned about other aspects of life like making money, and not at all bothered about littering. He finds this litter problem a blight on Singapore's reputation and hopes this problem will be addressed. Hence, YouthACT!'s campaign will be relevant in raising awareness on this issue.
